Archie Macias graduated from Newman University (Formerly Sacred Heart

College) in 1974 with a degree in accounting. He worked for F B Kubik, CPAs,

Wichita, KS for 8 years and Harrison, Norwood, CPAs, Houston, TX for two years.

Archie went to work at Wheat State Telephone, Udall, KS in 1984 as the

company’s Controller. In 1994 assumed the role of General Manager. Wheat

State was one of Archie’s clients during his tenure at F B Kubik.

Mr. Macias has served on numerous Boards of Directors including Newman

University, Kansans for Life, Sarah’s Home Foundation, and Historic Wichita

Cowtown, Inc. In his 30 years in the telephone industry, Archie has served on the

boards of directors of the State Independent Telephone Association of Kansas,

Kansas Telecommunications Industry Association and Kansas Fiber Net. Archie

has served on the board of directors of Organization for the Protection and

Advancement of Small Telephone Companies, and served as its chairman in 2004.

Archie is active in politics, serving as campaign treasurer for various judges,

legislators and political action committees. Archie also assists various non-profit

organizations with accounting and tax assistance.

Archie maintains an active tax practice with a mixture of individual, business and

tax exempt clients.

Archie lives in Wichita with his wife, Jean. They have two adult children and three

grandchildren.
